Scope of Work

Connected Meyer Library to campus chilled water loop. The work consisted of core drilling (2) 10” holes from campus concrete tunnel out to the exterior of tunnel. From exterior of tunnel we excavated path to continue piping from tunnel to penetration point at Meyer library. Core drilled (2) more 10” holes and continued running 8” piping into building. Tied piping into a 50hp In-line pump to act as a booster pump for the campus loop and Meyer library building. This connection allows the Meyer library to pull water from campus loop to cool facility. If campus loop cannot cool Meyer library (2) chillers located in the basement of Meyer Library take control of building to provide adequate cooling. The (2) chillers can also be used to help cool the campus loop if the main campus power plant cannot keep up with the campus demand.
