Scope of Work
The project consists of electrical, mechanical, architectural and structural for the relocation of the Avionics Shop from a leased facility to the AVCRAD hanger. Ultimately we removed every mechanical, electrical and architectural material located in the existing AVCRAD hanger and installed a steel mezzanine structure throughout the entire building.
- Removed (3) existing air handlers, associated duct work, power, electrical switches, electrical outlets, CMU walls, rolling steel doors (30’x 52’x 30’). After everything was removed our company began to saw cut existing concrete and dig out areas in floor where steel peers would be installed.
- Once steel peers arrived we began to install accordingly. This was a challenge in its self because of the existing structure. As the project continued we installed all new electrical services (high/low voltages), (2) new air handlers, associated duct work and controls. Once the steel decking was installed for the mezzanine our company poured 4,000 Sq. Ft of concrete for the mezzanine floor. This was a challenge b/c concrete was pumped in lieu of being poured. During this process we installed our exterior framing and metal panel enclosure on the first floor. When the 2nd floor concrete cured on mezzanine we repeated this process to enclose building. After building was completely weather- tight we began framing on the offices, clean room and storage area. All floors required an anti-static epoxy per specifications. After all major construction was complete we were able to complete the finishes. Paint, ceilings, doors etc. were installed to complete the relocation project.
